Privacy Policy

Sotto is designed from the ground up to know nothing about you. We collect no personal data, transmit nothing to any server, and have no way to identify you or monitor how you use the app. This policy explains exactly what happens — and what doesn't.

1. Data We Collect

None. Sotto does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. There is no account creation, no login, no email address, no name, no phone number, and no usage analytics of any kind.

2. Local Storage

Sotto stores a small amount of data locally on your device using iOS's built-in preferences system (SharedPreferences). This data never leaves your device and includes:

• Your selected skin preference (e.g., "Calculator")
• Tutorial completion flags (so the guided tour doesn't repeat)
• The name of the last connected Bluetooth device (for automatic reconnection)
• Onboarding completion status
• Text you enter in the Notes skin (persisted between sessions)
• The most recent crash report, if one occurred (stored locally until you choose to send it)

All of this data is stored only on your device. Sotto has no server, no database, and no cloud storage. Deleting the app removes all stored data.

3. Bluetooth

Sotto uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to communicate with compatible personal devices. Bluetooth communication occurs directly between your phone and your device — no data passes through any intermediary server. Sotto does not log, record, or transmit any information about your Bluetooth connections or usage.

4. Crash Reports

If Sotto encounters an error, a crash report is saved locally on your device. This report includes the error message, a stack trace, your iOS version, and a timestamp. The crash report is never sent automatically.

If you choose to submit a crash report, tapping "Send Crash Report" in the Support section opens a pre-filled form on our website in your browser. You can review exactly what will be sent before submitting. After opening the form, the local crash log is cleared. We have no way to associate a submitted crash report with your identity unless you voluntarily provide identifying information in the form.

5. Analytics and Tracking

Sotto contains no analytics frameworks, no tracking pixels, no advertising SDKs, and no telemetry of any kind. We do not use Apple's App Analytics, Firebase, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or any similar service. We do not know how many people use Sotto, how often they use it, or what they do with it.

6. Third-Party Services

Sotto does not integrate with any third-party services except:

• Apple App Store — for distribution and purchase processing. Apple's privacy practices are governed by their own privacy policy.
• Sotto website (sottovibe.com) — only if you voluntarily choose to submit a support request, bug report, or crash report. This action is initiated by you and opens in your browser. Form submissions are processed by Netlify.

7. Children

Sotto is rated 17+ on the App Store and is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 17.

8. Changes to This Policy

If we update this privacy policy, the revised version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date. Sotto does not have push notifications or email, so please check this page periodically.
