Sotto is a mobile application for iOS. By downloading or using Sotto, you agree to these terms. They are short, written in plain language, and designed to be fair.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Sotto, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app. Your continued use of Sotto constitutes acceptance of any future modifications to these terms.

2. Eligibility

Sotto is rated 17+ on the Apple App Store. You must be at least 17 years old to use this app. By using Sotto, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

3. Description of Service

Sotto is a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) controller application that communicates with compatible personal devices. The app provides multiple interface themes ("skins") and control methods. All processing occurs locally on your device.

You agree to use Sotto only for its intended purpose: controlling your own compatible Bluetooth devices. You agree not to:

You are solely responsible for ensuring that all parties involved in the use of a device controlled by Sotto have given informed, ongoing consent. Sotto is designed for use between consenting adults.

6. Device Compatibility

Sotto communicates with third-party Bluetooth devices. We do not manufacture, sell, or warrant any hardware. Device compatibility may vary, and we cannot guarantee that Sotto will work with every Bluetooth device. A list of compatible devices is maintained on our website.

7. Safety

Sotto includes safety features such as triple-tap emergency stop and automatic timeout. You are responsible for familiarizing yourself with these features before use. You are also responsible for using Sotto and any connected devices safely and in accordance with the device manufacturer's guidelines.

9. Intellectual Property

Sotto, including its code, design, and branding, is the intellectual property of Sotto. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these terms.

Sotto is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that:

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Sotto and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising out of or related to your use of the app. This includes, without limitation, any damages arising from the use or inability to use a connected device, Bluetooth connectivity issues, or reliance on any safety features.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sotto and its developers from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the app or violation of these terms.

13. Third-Party Hardware

Sotto is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or responsible for any third-party device manufacturer. All product names and trademarks are the property of their respective owners. Use of third-party devices is subject to those manufacturers' own terms and warranties.

14. App Store

Sotto is distributed through the Apple App Store. Your use of the app is also subject to the Apple Licensed Application End User License Agreement. In the event of a conflict between these terms and Apple's EULA, Apple's terms apply to the extent of the conflict.

15. Modifications

We may update these terms from time to time. The revised version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date. Sotto does not have push notifications or email, so please check this page periodically. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

16. Termination

You may stop using Sotto at any time by deleting the app. Since Sotto stores no data remotely, deletion removes all traces of the app from your device.

17. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Sotto shall be resolved in accordance with applicable law.
